Miami & Erie Canal and Cincinnati Subway

Historic photo of the Friend & Fox Paper Company in Lockland next to the Miami & Erie Canal, looking northwest across a large turning basin between Flour Mill lock #42 to the left and Collector's lock #41 to the right. Lock Street is at the right where the two small buildings and the horse and carriage are, as seen in the previous photo. This mill burned down in 1873 so this photo would be prior to that date. The Friend & Fox mill in Crescentville used a very similar design.
