Detail of the bridge from the previous photo. The span to the left over Mill Creek is shorter so that used a different design. Note the new pin connections used to raise the bridge clearance. Presumably this was done instead of lowering the roadway because that would subject the highway to flooding or conflicts with underground utilities. This poured concrete pier is probably original to 1906.
