Note that there's only single overhead wiring here, since this was outside the city limits when first constructed and the street railway was not required to install dual overhead there. The lawsuit forcing the dual overhead wiring installation was dismissed before Carthage and Hartwell were annexed to the city so they left the wiring alone, and all streetcars would put up or take down the second trolley pole at Vine and Mitchell at the border with St. Bernard.
