A large trolley pole on the corner of Madison Avenue and 20th Street in Covington, looking west. This pole is extra fat because it was supporting overhead wires for a curved section of track (turning from 20th onto Madison). Because of the high tension necessary to maintain a smooth curve in the wires, larger poles were used. There were also carbarns at this site as well.
