Photo of the Peter's Cartridge Company in Kings Mills, looking west southwest across Grandin Road. This factory was mostly abandoned since World War II. There is significant lead contamination in this area, due to the factory using creek water for cooling lead shot that was dropped from the tower on the left, among other things. This was declared a superfund site and significant remediation was conducted, with the majority concluded by 2018. The areas of the building with covered up windows were used for rental storage. Most of the buildings have been redeveloped as a brewery and apartments.
