K-4 class steam locomotive (Pacific type 4-6-2) approaching Loveland's station, sometime in the 1930's or 40's, looking north from approximately the same spot as the last photo. The train is crossing Loveland Avenue, and most of the buildings visible on that street are still there today. This was one of the few steam locomotives that got the "streamlining" treatment to make them look faster and more modern. Notice the man putting a coin on the tracks in the exact center of the photo.
