Historic photo of Eastern and Delta Avenues in 1916, looking northeast towards Delta. This photo was taken immediately before the Pennsylvania/Little Miami Railroad was elevated over this intersection and Stanley Avenue. The horses and cart are on Walworth Avenue. The streetcar tracks crossed the railroad at a very acute angle, which was quite dangerous, just to the left of this photo. The valet parking area between Walworth and today's railroad retaining wall is where the tracks originally ran. After the overpass was built that old right-of-way was paved with granite block with tracks flaking it to provide a freight unloading team track for the neighborhood. An unpaved stretch of Delta Avenue is at the right of the photo behind the fire hydrant.
