The Newport & Cincinnati Bridge as it appeared between its initial construction in 1872 and major rebuilding in 1897, looking southeast towards Newport. The vantage point of the last two photographs were just over the heads of the people standing on the cart path. The brick arches are visible on the far right while the railroad overhead curves towards the east to descend to the Little Miami depot.
