Street Lights, Poles, & Traffic Signals
0035_DSC_4311
Two rare 12-8-8 signals at Madison and Markbreit in Oakley Square. While 8-8-12 or 8-8-8-12 signals, both of which have the larger 12" arrows as required, are fairly common around here, these signals with 12" red lights are pretty unusual here. They're very common in other parts of the country though. They were probably installed here because people have a tendency to miss this light while looking at the ones at Isabella Avenue, just 30 or 40 feet ahead. All the signals at this intersection were replaced in 2010 or 2011 as part of the Oakley Square redevelopment
