Southern Railway - Norfolk Southern, Central Division, Cincinnati New Orleans & Texas Pacific 1st District
Southern approach to Union Terminal, looking west from the intersection of Budd Street and McLean Avenue. The extra bridge space here was for connections with the B&O and Big Four lines coming from Indiana along the Ohio River. More piers from that viaduct can be seen from the 6th Street Expressway and Mehring Way. Note "CUT" on the left, for Cincinnati Union Terminal. The bridge in the background with the tanker cars is the older approach to the Cincinnati Southern's bridge over the Ohio River.
