CL&A - Cincinnati, Lawrenceburg & Aurora Electric Street Railroad
Historic photo of the CL&A underpass at the Big Four Railroad in Elizabethtown, past the end of Lincoln Avenue, looking northwest. This underpass was only used from 1900 to 1903 when the CL&A had to abandon its Miamiview route after the Lost Bridge over the Great Miami River burned down. The new route that has since been taken over by US-50 reconnected with the original alignment in the distance about where the track curve off to the left. The steeple of Elizabathtown United Methodist Church is in the background. From "Along the Line," a promotional booklet published by the CL&A, provided by Bill Van Doren.
