Historic photo of a serious derailment at Whetsel Avenue in 1910, looking south. The building at the left is still there today, though it was well repaired and there's no evidence remaining of the wreck. That building is not at all near the railroad tracks, so this had to be quite a wreck to get cars so far up the street. Notice that the accident also pulled down the trolley wire over the street.
