Old Graffiti on the Duck Creek Road tunnel under the B&O line in Norwood. The rustic sandstone ashlar blocks, similar to others around the area, are similar to others used in the late 19th century. The soft stone is easy to carve, especially for vandals. However, due to the age of the tunnel, the graffiti suffers from somewhat of a Y2K bug. The 9/2/23 date on the right will be a century old before long, and it's unclear whether Tom A. carved his mark in 1873 or more likely in 1973.
