C&W - Cincinnati & Westwood Railroad
0011_b36_f47_n006
Close-up of the previous photo of the Cincinnati & Westwood tracks crossing Harrison Avenue in South Fairmount after repaving, looking east. The concrete retaining wall and high curb with weep holes going down Harrison are still there as of November 2013. Note that when the street and tracks were rebuilt the street railway company did not build a proper diamond for the Cincinnati & Westwood, so their one-man gasoline powered car would have to bounce across the streetcar tracks as there was no accommodation for the wheel flanges. From the University of Cincinnati Library Digital Resource Commons, Street Construction and Improvements collection.
