NYC/CCC&St. L - New York Central/Big Four, CIND Subdivision - Indiana & Ohio, CIND Subdivision
0011_DSC_0589
Remains of the Cincinnati & Whitewater Canal, later used by the Big Four, looking west towards Gest Street from behind Longworth Hall. From left to right the B&O freight station and yards were in the pavement, the Big Four approach to Plum Street and later Central Union Depot are the tracks in the middle, an abandoned connection from ground level to the C&O bridge for the Big Four is the concrete and stone on the right, and just above that is the still in use main approach to the C&O bridge. Occasionally freight cars are stored on these tracks, but such use is unlikely to continue much longer.
